Mechanical tonometer MEDICO JD-1004
A mechanical tonometer is a medical device used to measure blood pressure
A mechanical tonometer is a medical device used to measure blood pressure. It consists of a cuff that is placed on the arm, a bulb for inflating air into the cuff, and a pressure gauge for reading the pressure. The cuff is inflated with air using a bulb, which temporarily stops blood flow in the artery. The air is then released slowly and two values are recorded using a stethoscope: the upper (systolic) and lower (diastolic) pressure. Mechanical blood pressure monitors are considered among the most accurate, but require skill to use correctly.
